Birk Irving, Winter Park’s own halfpipe wizard, started dropping 360s at age five. Inspired by his ski-patrol dad and alpine-coach mom, he became a force in freestyle, earning a Youth Olympic gold, X Games silver, World Champs bronze, FIS Crystal Globe in halfpipe. A 2022 Olympian who still manages to put out film projects yearly, and a certified must-follow on the socials.

Learning 360s in Jack Kendrick in winter park.
WHAT DO YOU CONSIDER TO BE YOUR HOME MOUNTAIN, AND WHY?
Winter park resort because it’s where I grew up and I still love skiing there to this day.
BEST FEELING ON SKIS?
Putting a truck to feet that I wasn’t sure how it was going to work out.
WHERE DO YOU FIND INSPIRATION IN SKIING?
I find inspo from my friends that I ski with as well as other sports like biking for feature approach in the back country.
FAVORITE THING TO DO OFF THE SKIS?
I love surfing, mountain biking, and fishing.

Revelstoke BC, Tinges France, Golden BC.
